Meet Tatiana Nechayev | Photographer, Actress, and Model

We had the good fortune of connecting with Tatiana Nechayev and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Tatiana, how do you think about risk?
I feel that taking calculated risks is essential for our growth. I often take risks when it comes to my photoshoot choices, I try to have big risky visions in freelance projects I pursue. These risky decisions within photography have generated my natural following and growth in a positive way and it’s something I want to continue to pursue in not only my photography career but also in my acting and modeling career. You cannot have a successful, unique, and creative career without taking risks. Oftentimes whether you know it or not we take small risks or big risks throughout everyday life.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I think what sets me apart from others is that I remain true to myself. I am an extroverted highly outgoing individual. I am not afraid to voice my opinions or my thoughts. I can come across as very genuine and compassionate. Most of the people I exchange paths with become very comfortable around me fairly easily. I am most proud of my ability to make others feel comfortable and vulnerable which allows them to be more expressive. I believe this is how I got to where I am today and it was not easy as many things in life aren’t. I was not always so confident, I overcame these challenges by putting myself out there, being vulnerable, and asking many questions. I’ve learned how important it is to constantly be on the journey of self awareness. To constantly reflect on your own actions and choices that you’ve made. To always learn and progress from your mistakes. Among all these things I want people to know that every avenue I pursue is backed up by sincere intentions to do the work I am a part of justice and truly bring each vision to life.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I would start out the week by taking my best friend with me to a yoga class overlooking Miami Beach. After that follow up with going for brunch at Pura Vida and getting the Miami smoothie of course and possibly finish off the day on the beach. I would make sure to take them to Pubbelly Sushi in Aventura Mall and get all my favorite items on the menu then follow up with a shopping day. Another thing I would do is take them to as many beautiful venues as possible: Gekko, Komodo, Swan, Sexy Fish, LIV, etc. I would give them a tour around Wynwood, Miami Design District, Downtown Miami, Brickell, Sunny Isles Beach, Bal Harbour, and South Beach and hit some hot spots in each area. I think all these areas are exciting, alive, immersive, and beautiful. All these places give you a great sense of the culture here in Miami and know how to bring on a good time.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I believe there have been many things that have played an immense part in my success. From family, books, experiences, knowledge, mentorship, to even therapy. Someone in specific who I would like to give a shoutout to would be my older sister, Alexia. She has really pushed the creative side of me like no one else ever has. She has empowered me to do things I did not think I would currently be doing if she did not motivate me to do them. She has been a big support system in pushing me toward my goals and aspirations. Someone else that deserves a little credit and recognition in my story would be my mother. When I was young and so passionate and eager to become a photographer, she gladly got me my first camera which really allowed me to pursue this creative outlet.
