We had the good fortune of connecting with Taylor Morgan and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Taylor, do you have a budget? how do you think about personal finances?
My formula for making buying decisions: 1. Define your goals. 2. Determine the problems/challenges that are stopping/slowing you from achieving those goals. 3. Ask yourself, “What problem does this product/service solve?” 4. Then ask, “What is having that problem solved worth to me?” and “What value will this problem being solved bring to my life?” 5. Determine whether the solution to that problem (aka the product/service) is worth the monetary cost based on the value it brings to your life.
What should our readers know about your business?
The Captain’s Lifestyle Program is a 90 day, 1-on-1 lifestyle optimization course for busy entrepreneurs. I help my clients maximize their health, happiness, and productivity so they can optimize their work-life balance while continuing to scale their impact. Although I help my clients live more fulfilling lives, the thing I’m most proud of is The Programs effect on people around my clients. Once my clients start to adopt healthier habits and radiate happiness, everyone around them wants in on the action too so they start to take better care of themselves as well! One of my clients moms actually lost 8lbs over the course of a month just from her sons healthy influence while he was visiting home. They would go on morning walks together, come back and cook a healthy breakfast together. It was awesome. Building my business was absolutely not easy, and it’s only getting more difficult as time goes on. I’m at the point now to where I need to scale and hire more employees. Currently, I’m wearing all the hats and it’s a lot to manage. One of my biggest motivators when times get really challenging is thinking about who needs me to show up and put in the work. Yes I work for myself, but in reality, I’m actually working for my clients. If I don’t give my full effort, it’s my clients (and those around them) who suffer most. If I don’t show up, my clients won’t get the help they need when they need it. So it would be irresponsible of me not to put in the work. I want the world to know that The Captain’s Lifestyle is all about understanding that you, and only you, are in control of your actions. If you aren’t pleased with some aspect of your life/business, that’s on YOU to change it. Once people understand that that they are The Captain’s of Their Own Lives, is when the real change begins. My ultimate goal is to help make the world a better place. I believe that starts by building better humans. People who care about themselves, their community, and our planet.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My girlfriend, Brooke Beard, founder of Food Vibes Meal Prep. She has helped me grow both personally and professionally. My business wouldn’t be where it’s at without her help along the way.
