We had the good fortune of connecting with Taylor Morozova and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Taylor, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
I started my wedding beauty business after getting up at 6am for hair and makeup for my best friends wedding that didn’t start until 4pm. I kept complaining about how it could be done better, my husband challenged me to “just do it then” and so I did. The anniversary of my company is technically also my friends wedding anniversary. Three years this May!

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I would say I have one foot in the business catagory and one foot in artistry. You simply can’t be successful in artistry alone, although it’s sad to say. I would say that in my work I have been very fortunate in the opportunities that came my way, and I said yes to every single one. Now that I am a bit more established I am more selective however, in the beginning you need to find what works for you. Now I am known for timeless and effortless beauty. My clients are looking to look like a slightly more elevated versions of themselves. This seems simple, but it’s actually very technically very difficult. In these more natural styles, in both hair and makeup, everything has to be exactly correct. The shade must match perfectly, the lines blend perfectly, hair lays perfectly etc. At the same time it must look like it wasn’t hard at all. It really is quite the feat, hence why I have progressed so quickly in my career path.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
This is fun! I will share one for each city.

For Miami everyone must go to Vizcaya as well as to the Rubel Museum. I love both as they couldn’t be more different but show the true diversity of the experience you can have in Miami. I would then say lunch at Manta in Wynwood. The fusion food there is amazing! Pop in and out of the shops and galleries in wynwood and finish with dinner and drinks at Sexy Fish. I always say everyone must at least have an appetizer at Sexy Fish as it’s so over the top Miami it’s great foot and even better people watching!

For Palm Beach start with some morning smoothie at Celus Produce in the Royal Poinciana. Then go for a walk or rent a bike to do the lake front trail. After that check out the Four Arts Society gardens.

Head to the beach and/or grab some lunch at Swiftys inside the Colony. Stay for bingo there (if it’s Wednesday) or head to shopping down Worth Ave. Finish with drinks and the best soufflé you’ve ever had with Dave at La Goulie.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My entire career is based off being supported and pushed, though lovingly. Firstly by Ingrid Joli of One Joli Girl, she owns a modeling agency and she gave me my first real opportunity to work as a makeup artist at Mar a Lago. My career skyrocketed from there. As I continued on, I became friends with one of my clients Ati Nazari Farmani of Ati Nutrition who showered me with praise and love to everyone she met. I have progressed so much because of her support. And finally my cousin and mentor Becki Beaubien. She worked with me at the very beginning of my career. She taught me how to dress and act, how to carry myself and have a presence with my clients. Some of her best advice was to “let clients leave with a smile” and they will always be coming back.
