We had the good fortune of connecting with Taylor Sparks and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Taylor, we’d love for you to start things off by telling us something about your industry that we and others not in the industry might be unaware of?
People see my social media and think I’m just running around the world half/fully naked and selling sex toys. What they do not know is that my business, Organic Loven, specializes in improving adults sexual health/wellness and enhancing their sex lives. Yes, my products do offer a ‘happy ending’, but many of my products assist on the wellness side of sexuality. All of the products are either organic or eco-friendly and chemical free. I had a client that has Parkinson disease and has issues with getting an erection. Our Pulse by Hot Octopuss, originally designed for men with spinal cord injury going through IV treatment, is the only thing he can use because of the medication he is on. The same can be said about our Jnaja cock ring that is very helpful for men suffering from erectile dysfunction. Our intimate lubricants can not only assist with vaginal dryness but some also have ingredients that are very healing to the vaginal tissue and can decrease pain during and after sex. Lastly, we offer more than 100 books on relationships (monogamy, ethical-nonmonogamy), BDSM, sexual health, sex positions and even meditative journals.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Some of this may have been answered in the first question… Launching a business within a niche can be challenging as you have to discover if there is ‘enough money’ to grow and thrive within that niche. The total organics industry is estimated to be $252 billion (and growing) as of the end of 2020. It was only a matter of time that this industry that expanded from food to clothing to car seat covers, made it’s way into the bedroom. When I started my company just over 7 years ago, there were just a handful of intimacy product manufacturers and those in sex tech that decided to go the organic and eco-friendly route. The sex toy industry is $33 billion dollar industry. I chose to carve out and focus on the niche of the eco-friendly side of it because I am certified as a holistic aromatherapist and focus on organic and natural products. I then took to another more exciting niche…the world of adults only travel and events. Most of the clientele that I was selling and presenting my seminars to are people who are ethically non-monogamous. Meaning some were ‘lifestylers or swingers” or in open relationships. I found that these people were highly interested in sexual products and toys and no one was educating them on the benefits of organic intimate body products. So I have spent the last 7 years traveling the world presenting and selling on adults only cruises (15 so far), adults only resorts (Hedonism, Desire), conferences (Sex Expo, Taboo Sex Expo, Naughty ‘n Nawlins) and hotel takeovers. One of the lessons that I have learned along the way is to be consistent. Consistent in your marketing, branding, message and customer service. I would rather loose a small percentage in profit to make a client happy with their order than to be a stickler by a policy. An example of that would be when a client ordered a product for his partner that is sensitive, it still was not a good fit. We could not take the product back as it had been used. Instead we sent a small sampler pack for them to try, no charge, hoping that they would find a product that she was able to use. It was less than $6 to get a long term client that could potentially spend way more over the course of the year.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
We would try to go to haulover nude beach at least once during their visit. Even if it rained, we would just zip up the tent and stay on the beach! I would certainly take them to an amazing Michelin star dinner experience at the underground restaurant, Flora Miami 2.0. For some live music, we would head over to Cafe La Trova in Little Havana. Another evening, we would have great Ramen at Go Bistro and after dinner we would head over to Cuenca Cigar bar for wine and cigars in Hollywood. The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I want to shout out and thank Claudia and Pepe Aguirre, founders of Luxury Lifestyle Vacations Club (www.llvclcub.com). They are one of the best luxury adults only travel agencies in the world. It is because of their support, motivation and experience that I was able to not only launch Organic Loven but grow it to a recognized brand within the adults only events and cruises industry. I have learned a tremendous amount regarding marketing to this niche audience and how to service a high end client from Pepe and Claudia. I am eternally grateful for all that they have given to me and they are not only mentors but great friends.
