We had the good fortune of connecting with Ted Degel and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Ted, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
I was raised by entrepreneurs. What I realized after starting my first business is it’s all about taking that first step. Taking the first step and understanding that there WILL be roadblocks. Business is much like daily life. Be ready for the problems, but train yourself to immediately look for solutions instead of allowing the problem to stop your progress through frustration or anger.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I think it was about 2004. I was over 40 and out of shape. I was barely making ends meet in a tiny apartment in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Worst of all I had separated from the love of my life. I knew something was “off” with me, but I knew I didn’t have an illness, I just didn’t ever really feel good. It seems like I had tried a thousand different “supplements”. Mood boosters, testosterone boosters, etc. Nothing made a difference. I saw an ad in a local paper for testosterone therapy. Actually, I had seen the ad many times for probably 6 months. My son told me to call and do the free consultation. I made the appointment and he went with to the clinic. I started on Testosterone and Growth Hormone a couple weeks later after I did blood work and then saw the doctor again. I called the doctor 90 days later after I emailed him my before and after photos(which he recommended I take when he prescribed the hormones). I was in the best shape of my life, happy for the first time in years, and I had my wife back. I asked him how I could help other people change their life like I did without being a doctor. He asked me if I could see him the following day. I said yes and hung up, wondering what was in store?!! The next day he hired me to manage & councel patients interested in HRT! A couple weeks later I moved to a beachside condo on an Island in Florida making more money than I had ever made. I wasn’t expecting a job, but I had been praying a lot. What I want people to take away from this is take the plunge! I was uncomfortable sending those photos because I’m very, very shy. I almost didn’t do it, but I finally realized…..what do I have to lose?! Maybe he thinks I’m weird but who cares?!! Where would I be now if I hadn’t?????

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
My favorite place in Florida is Singer Island. But I spend a lot of time between Fort Lauderdale and MIami Beach. i loooooove the Plymouth hotel in Miami Beach! It feels like “old Miami beach”, but the rooms are ultra modern! Not to mention the best Sushi in Miami Beach!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Wow! I owe so many people I can’t thank from my life in the military/security past, but I also would need a book to thank all the amazing people in my life. I’m thankful to Jesse Williams of Quantum Wellness HRT Miami. He is one of best people I have ever worked with. Most of all I’d like to thank 2 people. The most amazing woman on the planet, my wife Renae. And, the finest man I’ve ever known. My son, Jacob. I love you both more than words. Last but not least Clindall Gilles my Social Media Strategist (https://calendly.com/curvesolutions/smm). Thank you!
