We had the good fortune of connecting with Terhan Freeman and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Terhan, what do you want people to remember about you?
My legacy is helping people be better at whatever it is they desire.

My passion and love for family and helping people find there desire to help others.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I grew up in the Cleveland Ohio area in the suburbs of Bedford Hts. I played football, basketball and ran track. Sports is what encouraged me to finish school. I was accepted to Miami University and the next 4.5 years I was in Oxford Ohio where I join Kappa Alpha Psi and graduated in the field of educational psychology specialized in special education. I started teaching and coaching and realized I wanted to have a business background as I have a love for money and wanted to know how money evolves and how I can make more money. I switched careers and started working for an agency that provided care to special need adults as their regional director. At this time, I went back to school at the university of Phoenix and recieved my MBA. I started teaching business courses on the college level part time. I really grew an interest to the career college and then I realized I wanted to be the president of the college. This is when my journey began to where I am today. This road for awhile was uncertain and there was a lot of set backs. The Lost of my father 3 months before my son was born was the most trying time for me as I was also trying to become the president of the College. Through a lot of prayer and support of my family I was able to overcome a lot of obstacles and deal with the lost of my father who was a very influential person to me and my brother growing up. What I learned up to this point is success is not easy. I know the most successful people in the world do things others are not willing to do. I’ve learned the job title only means something when we completed the mission of the job description. Setbacks will always be a part of our journey. We must position ourselves to be ready for the setback and capitalize on opportunities when the door opens.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I love eating good food and spending time with good people. In clevleand we’re known for our corn beef sandwich. We are also known for a good polish boy sandwich. Cedar Point is a great place to go for amusement park roller costers. I enjoy go kart riding, ATVs, horseback riding, and riding motorcycles. Cleveland Ohio has all four seasons so depending on when you visit one of these many things could happen. The following: a good breakfast spot Beau’s on the River. A good dinner place Don Pomeroy’s. Spending time downtown at the casino and the Flats. Live music at the Holiday Inn and a good winery place the Blind Squirrel Winery. Taking a boat over to Kelly’s Island for quite and relaxing time by the beach.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I give all my success credit to my mom and Dad. Having an older brother gave me a goal to set and reach which push me and challenge me. I also want to give a shout out to the members of Kappa Alpha Psi fraternity Inc. I have met a lot of great people and there support has been awesome.
