We had the good fortune of connecting with The Official Adult-ish and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi The Official Adult-ish, what do you attribute your success to?
The most important factor behind the success of our brand is our consistent work ethic. Remaining consistent in our work has helped keep our brand top of mind with our followers. All three of us, the founders, still maintain our 9-5 jobs, so keeping our business at the top of minds and our schedules has been a priority for us. So that means sacrifices such as long work sessions after an 8-hour shift, working on weekends, and late nights. At the end of the day, without hard work, the business cannot grow and prosper. 

What should our readers know about your business?
Adult-ish is a lifestyle brand, founded by Samantha Lerouge, Lehanka Avril, and Samantha St. Armand, that discusses the struggles/pressures of adulthood. Our brand utilizes social media, our clothing line, and podcast called Talkin’ish with Adult-ish to discuss adulting while providing a support system for adults who don’t have it all together. The brand’s relatability is what sets us apart from others. Whether you’re 18 entering college, single in your mid-20s, or have a family, Adult-ish understands that being an adult is NOT easy. It’s perceived that everyone is doing it right and you’re just the one that doesn’t know what you’re doing–when in actuality no one really knows. Adult-ish realizes that there’s no right way to “Adult” and through our platforms, we unpack the unspoken taboos of adulthood.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If our best friend was visiting the area for a week, the first spot we will take them to is Ft. Lauderdale Beach to spend some time in the sun –plus it’s Covid friendly. Post pandemic however we would take them to restaurants such as Victory or Tap42 in Midtown Miami for brunch. Later on in the day, we’d go to our favorite bars in Wynwood and get some Instagram worthy pics at the Wynwood Walls.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
We would like to shout out #AdultishAnonymous, which are our loyal supporters who have been rooting for our brand since the beginning! Adult-ish has evolved since we started and it’s our supporters and fans who keep the brand going. From purchasing our merch to subscribing to our podcast and reposting/engaging with our content. We appreciate all of our supporters!
