We had the good fortune of connecting with Tiffany Tait, LCSW, CDWF and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Tiffany, do you have a favorite quote or affirmation?
Yes. Well, I do have a favorite bible verse that I try to live by. “To whom much is given, much is required.”- Luke 12:48 To me, this verse is a very clear and concise explanation of God’s expectations for me. We often wonder what God wants from our lives, and its often right in front of our face.
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Our current venture, Unorthodox Group, began a sort of a spin-off of our other venture’s. My partner Dr. Lilly and I have been Healthcare Executives and Entrepreneurs for a number of years. As a result, we grew a passion for building women leadership teams and teaching women how to grow entrepreneurial ventures while building wealth. As a result, once I retired to from the day to day of healthcare administration, it only seemed natural to continue to invest in the development of female professionals. Overall, It definitely has not been an easy journey. Business has definitely been a roller coaster over the years. We have built a business, that is based on building healthcare businesses, and healthcare can be volatile to say that least. With that said, we have been extremely successful, professionally and financially, but it has been a difficult balance as working women, balancing home life of being a wife and a mommy, a full time executive and an entrepreneur with multiple ventures at any given time. Overall, no, none of it was easy. But it was definitely worth it. We have learned to be patient, hard working and flexible. How we generate income in one season, may be completely different in the next season. We’ve learned to simply let go of what doesn’t work. We’ve also learned to PAY IT FORWARD. We’ve been blessed and God expects us to pass those blessings on to others.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
This question made me chuckle. At this point, I’m definitely a homebody. I spent my entire career traveling and working 100+ hrs a week. I would honestly ask them to get their own room and meet me for dinner lol.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I have to take the opportunity to highlight our Unorthodox Women’s mentorship group. The Women’s Mentorship Group (Operated by Unorthodox Group, LLC) is a free professional mentorship program, perfect for Millennial and Gen Z women looking to develop as leaders, while building their portfolio and generational wealth. We offer a private mentorship program, monthly webinars and a private support group, as a free service offered by our team of successful women mentors. Our goal is to simply give back and help other women develop professionally and financially. I simply want to thank our entire team of mentors (Dr. Lilliam Rodriguez, Dr. Danielle Cadenhead, Duchess Raufman, MS and Davon Thomas, BA) for their time, dedication, support and hustle!
