We had the good fortune of connecting with Tova Teitelbaum and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Tova, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
Being very responsive from when a client first reaches out to the final delivery of high quality, artistic photographs. Simple things like answering the phone, returning messages quickly, responding to emails in a timely fashion have helped build my clientele and business. If you take too long to respond to that initial phone call or email, it can mean the difference between getting a job or missing out on it.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I began my career 12 years ago, and started photographing professionally while pursuing my undergraduate degree in fine art photography. I work mostly outdoors, photographing families and couples. In recent years, I’ve also been photographing a lot of surprise proposals. I feel lucky to capture an exciting and joyous moment in people’s lives.

A lot of my clients are from out of town and find me online. They’re visiting Miami and often want the beach as a backdrop for their photo session.  Besides for local families that return annually for family photos, I also have clients from out of town that come back yearly for photos.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
South Pointe Park, Miami Beach Botanical Garden, Lincoln Road Mall, Venetian Causeway, the Everglades in the wintertime, Little Havana, Key Biscayne and the Perez Art Museum.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I am so fortunate to have had my sister design my first website, business card and logo when I first started my business.
