We had the good fortune of connecting with Travell Neal and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Travell, what led you to pursuing a creative path professionally?
I chose a creative career path because I’ve always had a love for music, fashion and creativity. It’s sorta like a creative career chose me.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I am a 33 year old gay rapper that within its self sets me aside amongst other things. Some of the other things that set me aside is my sense of style and my love for music. I’ve got to the spot where I am now in my profession by not accepting any no’s and turning every No into a yes. It was definitely not a easy road there were many challenges I had to overcome. Something I had to overcome was relocating, I felt as though Tennessee had giving me all of what I was suppose to get from that state so I decided to pack everything up and drive 24hours to Las Vegas. This was the best decision I have made in life it has opened up so many opportunities for my career. Something I’ve learned through all of this was stop doubting yourself because if you believe in it you def can achieve it. One thing I want the world to know about me is that it’s okay to be your authentic self, it’s okay to be older and still go after your dreams, it’s okay to be a God fearing gay black rapper.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
