Meet TrenchBaby Rich | Musical Artist

We had the good fortune of connecting with TrenchBaby Rich and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi TrenchBaby, why did you decide to pursue a creative path?
I chose an artistic career of music because music is a great way to express your creativity and thoughts and feelings. You can apply any emotion or mood into music and turn pain into joy. It’s a no judge zone and being creative means being you. I love music and I wouldn’t change it for the world.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
What sets me apart from others is my distinct sound of old school with new school with just that much less auto tune and gimmicks LOL
What I’m most proud of is the long haul I have been in with music and how I never gave up even when I thought it wouldn’t work.
I got to where I am now through trial and tribulation. Nothing came easy at all and it still isn’t easy. A lot of sacrifices went into my brand and my music to get to its current stage and honestly, I’m not even close to full potential. I overcame a lot of the hardship through trust of process and God. I stayed dedicated and any time I took time off I always came back harder times 10 to make sure any time lost was always made up for.
The lessons I have learned within the music industry and just being a rapper who drops music in general is you gotta know where, what, and when to invest. I feel like investing in music whether it’s clearing a song, buying a beat, buying a feature, or anything pertaining in general you have to know what to buy when to buy it and where to promote it. I learned not everyone can be trusted and that sometimes your gonna get burnt for money and sometimes your gonna take major major losses, in the end it’s all about how you bounce back.
My name is TrenchBaby Rich and my clothing brand is TrenchBaby, I do it for all ghettos and minorities around the world. We are a brand that stands as the voice for the culture and the ghetto, we give voices to those who can’t speak up for themselves. TrenchBaby is more than a name or a brand, it’s a lifestyle, it’s a culture.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
When it comes to Brooklyn, you gotta head to the south side and hit up L&B Spumoni Gardens right behind Marlboro house, best Sicilian pizza in the city period. We are definitely gonna hang out in Coney Island by the rides and beach in the summertime for long nights of boardwalk drinking and dancing. Hit up Times Square in the city for that night life and the clubs and bars and attractions. Some of the most exciting things to check out in Brooklyn are also Lincoln high school where they filmed He Got Game, you got Brighton beach for the best kanish. Cant forget Bensonhurst you gotta hit 86th street and bay parkway get you some Istanbul Turkish food you can’t go wrong!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
First and foremost I want to give a huge shoutout to my wife. She has been a big supporter of me and stood down with me through the hardest of times and situations. Another shoutout to my family they are always big supporters, Big P my engineer for always working with me and making my music sound good. Shoutout to any artist I’ve worked with from beginning to now, Jae Makaveli, Da God Amun Ra, big shoutout to D. Chamberz and Bill Collector two big influences on my career.
