We had the good fortune of connecting with Troi Davis and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Troi, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
When it comes to starting your own business… you just have to be certain you WANT to do it then START. You can’t be afraid to make mistakes. Trails and errors. And know that it 1000% takes time that must put in.
When you do start your own business have patience with yourself and understand it’s a growing process.
Keep going even when it may seem like you don’t have support.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I am a creative by many ways. Hair, nails, sewing, yoga, and poetry.
My main thing is nails. I have been doing nails really since I was a kid. So to see how far my work has come, knowing I can style someone from head to toe. I’m very proud of that.
It wasn’t easy finding my niche or my lane but I never gave up.
You have try things to even know if you like them so that was challenging too.
Trying not to take on too much and overwhelm myself.
My brand is an over all experience from the type of person I am to how I care si much about my work that my clients receive.
I’ve learned so much building up my brand, but the most important was learning not to rush things. Work for them but never rush it.
It’s all in your mental state. You have to be strong in your mind and you can do anything.
It’s hard when you aren’t selling or getting clients like you thought you would. It can be disheartening but you cannot let that stop you. Keep promoting keep pushing keep working.
If I could tell the world 1 things it would be to get ready for me. Cause when I come. Im coming.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I would take them to bacon bitch for breakfast and mimosas , Salt on the strip for lunch. We would go shopping with Frenchie in te designer district to shop of designer is their thing.
Or the brickell city center.
We would have to go jet skiing, there are a few really good jet ski rental places.
And then end the night with Booby Trap on the River.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My boyfriend Wesley Bradley for being a huge player in my team and always being there. My close family and friends for always being supportive abs letting me try what new things on them.
My kids Troy, Harlie, and Harper for being my motivation.
All my mentors that have given me their knowledge.
