We had the good fortune of connecting with Tyesha Scott and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Tyesha, what do you attribute your success to?
The most important factor behind the success of Scott Reporting is that it provides customizable court reporting services, coupled with a commitment to fundamental business ethics, particularly, respect, honesty, accountability, and integrity.
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
As a small business owner, what sets me apart is the quality of nurturing unselfish business connections with persons who want to witness the success of Scott Reporting. In fact, from business to business, we want each other to succeed. We welcome opportunities to update and upgrade each other with honest suggestions such as technical challenges related to equipment malfunctions, changes in legal regulations, and managing tight transcript delivery schedules.
What I’m most proud of is the ability to adapt to client requests and follow through as promised.
The journey to get to where I am today wasn’t easy, especially with the unexpected loss of my mom in March 2022. Challenges were overcome through abundant prayers, reminders from friends and family of the resilience that she left with me, and learning from setbacks.
Key lessons include the importance of acceptance and adaptability,
I want the world to know that Scott Reporting is defined by a passion for genuine dedication to client satisfaction. My story reflects the tenacity to overcome challenges and evolve in the enormous court reporting industry while staying true to my core values.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
The most fun, interesting, exciting people, places, or things to check out are right at home where everything is safe and simple.
However, any long-time friend who’s visiting the area will likely be invited to come along with me to have lunch or dinner at Mezes Greek Taverna. Their food is exceptionally tasty.
My sister and I are notorious for extending our home to host a fun-filled, raging with laughter and heart-to-heart girls’ night out!
An evening at the Miramar Cultural Center is always a great choice.
Some leisurely exploring and shopping is a nice option as well.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would like to acknowledge one particular attorney who played a pivotal role in my journey toward becoming a small business owner. Thanks to his mentorship and guidance in the legal arena, the love and support of my dear mom, and the love and marketing expertise of a precious cousin. Each of them has left a lasting impact on my path to becoming a small business owner.
