Meet Tyler Howell | Owner of Dueces Skating Rink
We had the good fortune of connecting with Tyler Howell and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Tyler, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
My thought process behind starting my own business, was to figure out something that was very innovative and different. The idea came to me during covid time. Everyone was skating and it seemed like a very popular trend back then and still is. My portable skating rink business, was what I could come up with, so that I could be In my own lane.
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Dueces Skating Rink is a portable skating rink that provides a more innovative way to have fun, by bringing the fun to the people! We provide rinks for birthday parties, parties, community events, family gatherings, adult/kid events and many more. We’re one of the first portable roller skating rinks in South Florida!

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If I had a friend that was visiting,I’d take them to the hard rock casino, wynwood for the scenery, a dolphin or Miami heat game, and visit some of our good restaurants down here. I love Kaluz, they have the best calamari I’ve ever had! We have tons of clubs here but you’d have to find the right one to attend. Normally I’d go to a club called club euro, so that’s probably where I’d take them.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would love to shout out my barber chika. Little do she know, she helped me with this idea. I came to her one day and informed of her of what I was planning on doing and it involved renting a floor from a company. However, she immediately told me to buy my own floor and learn how to build it myself, which I did! Also, would like to shout out my girlfriend/business partner. She’s literally the reason Dueces is where it is today. She supported my efforts and visions. She also, invested into the company and does everything that she can to make this business grow!
