Meet Vee Escarment | CEO, Entrepreneur, Speaker, Host, award winning Singer, and SAG AFTRA Actress

We had the good fortune of connecting with Vee Escarment and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Vee, Let’s talk about principles and values – what matters to you most?
The most important value to me is integrity. Great leaders exhibit integrity at all times. They do what’s right, even if that isn’t the best thing for the current project or even the bottom line. Whether it’s giving proper credit for accomplishments, acknowledging mistakes, or putting safety and quality first. Great leaders always maintain a level of transparency, regardless of how difficult it may seem. It always pays off in the end. Your word has to be your bond. Being a person who does what he or she says they are going to do. There’s nothing more despicable than dishonesty. When someone’s trust is broken, it can rarely be gained back. This is something that holds true both in our everyday lives and our professional ones as well. I believe that you must constantly strive to be the best you can be, to develop and expand your skills and talents in order to make significant contributions to the world.

What should our readers know about your business?
Generational Wealth through Homeownership Inc a 501c3 nonprofit housing counseling agency. Our mission is to change lives and empower communities, one person at a time, by creating generational wealth through homeownership. We service the low to moderate-income families in the Tri-County areas of Miami Dade County, Broward County, and Palm Beach County. We service the South Florida Community and beyond in homeownership, budgeting, saving, credit counseling, post-purchase counseling, pre-purchase counseling, debt management, and financial literacy. By adopting the National Industry Standards for homeownership, GWTH utilizes best practices to assist its clients in achieving Homeownership. We are focused on educating and empowering the community on these various topics through our Workshops. I have been able to help 1,000 clients over eight years become first time home buyers. What sets us apart from organizations is we always ask our clients for feedback because we want to give them excellent customer service. We ensure optimal client satisfaction by providing exceptional customer service, putting the clients’ needs first, and educating and empowering our clients to make better life and financial decisions. Our organization is professional, caring, helpful, and have patience with our clients. We provide our clients with educational informational. While working as a housing counselor I was able to learn more about real estate from the mortgage pre-approval process, construction of new homes, home inspection, home insurance, appraisal process, closing process, and homestead exemption. I had been working in Nonprofit sector as a housing counselor with nonprofit organizations since 2013, when I started to notice that there was a serious lack of housing available for low- to moderate-income families in Florida. While many of these families were approved for home ownership, they were struggling to find homes in realistic price ranges. The nonprofit organizations I worked for at the time would get 4 to 5 lots donated to them from Broward County to build affordable houses on. That still wasn’t enough homes to assist our clients After six years of witnessing the dreams of home ownership dashed for so many in the community, I was inspired to launch my own nonprofit in 2019, Generational Wealth through Homeownership Inc. A year later, I also created a for profit real estate development company, Generational Wealth through Real Estate LLC, with the mission to acquire underperforming properties throughout Florida and transition them into affordable, primary residences for its citizens. I’ve always wanted to make a difference and impact communities and people’s lives. Some obstacles I faced in the beginning, was funding, getting my 501c3 certification, and creating my business plan. Once launching my businesses, I took business development workshops, read books, receive advice from my mentor, and I prayed to God. I had to learn how to run a business and I had to choose my Board of Directors. For my nonprofit organization, I contacted many corporate partners to get sponsorship and I was persistent. I was able to receive funding. I applied for grants and I was denied some grants. I continued to move forward and had faith that it would work out. I started building relationships and creating partnerships. When things get tough in my business, life, career, and personal relationships I pray to God. I ask God for wisdom, understanding, discernment, knowledge, and clear vision. I pray to God for divine strategies and divine connections. My WHY keeps me going when things get tough. The most valuable lessons I have learned on this journey is growth, wisdom, and patience. These lessons have tremendously added to my character. I had to learn to have patience and know that everything will happen at the right time. I had to learn that as long as you don’t give up and continue working hard you will accomplish your goal. It will all work out! No weapon formed against me shall prosper and I know that all things work together for my good. Don’t allow your past or present condition to control you. It’s just a process that you’re going through to get you to the next level. Transformation is a process and as life happens there are tons of ups and downs. It’s a journey of discovery, there are moments on mountaintops and moments on deep valleys of despair. Excellence requires discomfort. Every season has its peaks and its valleys. Growth happens in the valleys. You learn in the valleys so you can earn in the peaks. The valley serves a purpose, that’s where fruit grows. There is no place to look but up. Even if you can’t see what God is doing, know that just like fruit, He is growing you, He is maturing you, He is strengthening you in that valley. Without valleys you can’t appreciate mountaintops. A setback is a setup for a comeback. You face your greatest opposition when you’re close to your biggest miracle! I want the world to know that I am a Native of Miami and I have been singing and acting since the age of 5. I have performed on TBN Network, Latin Billboard Awards, talent shows, musical theatre plays, music video sets, and film sets. I have had lead roles in stage plays Scrooge, Les Miserables, independent films Unguarded, Naked, Ball and Chains: Locked in Love, Miami, Very Social webseries, and America’s Most Wanted. I am a graduate of Barry University. I am an award-winning singer, SAG AFTRA actress, CEO, Entrepreneur, Speaker, Host, and Real Estate Developer. I am courageous and fearless! I fight for my dreams. I am extremely passionate about the work that I do! I am most proud of being a life changer and legacy builder! I am able to help my clients become first-time home buyers, begin legacies for their families, and create generational wealth. My life has purpose. My passion is fulfilling my purpose. My passion is to fulfill everything God has called me to fulfill and be everything God has called me to be! My passion helps me drive my goals in life by being persistent and never giving up no matter how the situation looks. I Am an Entrepreneur. An entrepreneur is a doer, not a dreamer. I Create. I Take Risks. I Live My Passion. I am a woman of God with strong faith. I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. There is nothing I am more passionate about than empowering people and empowering the next generation. I was born to make an impact!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would like to dedicate my shoutout to my mother Anne Marie Escarment and my sister Angie Escarment. My two biggest fans and my two guardian angels looking over me. They were my biggest supporters when they were alive. I would like to dedicate my shoutout to my daughter, my pastors Willie J. Felton and Karen Felton, Ermine Brookes, Qwinita Delancy, Annette Dor, and Valerie Gardner. I am very grateful to God for these prayer warriors. They have been very supportive, showed me love, and very encouraging people. They have given me words of encouragement in the testing seasons and they have been able to pray for me. They have always believed in me. I would like to dedicate my shoutout to Michael Coles and Cornell Crews. Thank you both for your support, mentorship, and your encouragement.
