We had the good fortune of connecting with Vee and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Vee, how do you think about risk?
Having a business is ALL about risks. Some you win, some you lose but risks are essential. It is what gives you experience, growth, and knowledge. Every risk I took even when I lost, I still won. I learned from all of my bad decisions and made better goals for the future.

What should our readers know about your business?
My name is Vee, and I am the owner of Empress Lashes. 2022 marks the fourth year my company has been in business, and it has been one of my biggest blessings. I sell luxurious Mink and Silk Lashes. There is no greater feeling than empowering women and watching them wear my product, with confidence. That is why I ensure each lash is sent with a message to uplift my customers.

I started Empress Lashes because being a single stay at home mom I needed another way to generate income while allowing me the time to raise my son. I have always loved makeup and lashes. So when I decided to invest in a line of business – lashes only made sense. I wanted to sell high quality but affordable lashes for women just like you and me. Whether you are needing a quick pop for your daily glam or attending an elegant evening event my reputation helped to gain the trust of my clients.

Even though I am a small business, the skies have seemed limitless for me. I have had my lashes shipped to Australia, Canada, London, Brazil, Guyana, St. Kitts, Jamaica, Guam, and Guatemala. There are days that aren’t easy, but the motivation to keep going has always kept the fire burning. My passion reignites my zeal whenever I run into any roadblocks. Something always has to keep you on your toes and the passion I have to make women feel beautiful will always be my drive to achieving greater goals.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I live in central FL and we have many great cities only a drive away. If my best friend came in town and I wanted to show her a good time, my first stop would be Orlando. I would plan an action packed day filled with theme park hopping. For the rest of the week, I would go to Ft. Lauderdale and taste a little bit of the caribbean. We would go to brunches, and then experience all of the tasty and exotic foods Ft. Lauderdale has to offer. To end the trip, I would take her to Miami to experience South Beach’s crystal clear water and night life.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
The first one is God, he inspires me and always opens new doors for me. He also gave me my son, who is the 2nd person I would shout out. He’s the reason why I am always on go!
