We had the good fortune of connecting with Veronica Camacho and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Veronica, what led you to pursuing a creative path professionally?
Well at first I wanted to be a dancer. However, my mother wanted me to have a more stable career, so I chose fashion. I studied Fashion Merchandising and Marketing. Did my internship with Calvin Klein than landed a job as an assistant fashion director for a catalog Company. That was definitely the beginning of my styling career.I feel like my creative career chose me Thankfully

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
Like I said before, my career chose me. At first it wasn’t easy. I moved to a new city at a young age started my freelance career and didn’t take no for an answer. I knew what I wanted to do and I went for it. Some jobs as an assistant, I had to work for nothing just to prove myself and get my foot in the door. But I did what I had to do if I was going to be in the Fashion business for the long haul. I just kept going and one door kept leading to another door full of potential and career building ideas. Sometimes it was easy, but for the most part things just evolved beautifully into what I have today

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Well actually just recently, I had a friend visit me in Miami and we had the absolute best time. We had a great morning workout at Barry’s Bootcamp with Rachel Than we went over to Dior and had coffee and snacks at the beautiful rooftop Dior cafe. Then we did a little Shopping at Brickell City Center. For dinner we went to one of my favorite restaurants, Amara Paraiso. Best food and the best view Lovely weekend

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
First off, my Mother and my sister have both played a huge role in my life and career. They both have taught me strength, elegance and modesty. Definitely a shoutout to them first and foremost. The other is my incredible agent Michelle Leo. She believes in me more than I believe in myself sometimes. Without her support and her nudges to help me going, I definitely would not be where I am today.
