We had the good fortune of connecting with Veronica Tirado- Founder Youri Klepatsky- Co-Founder and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Veronica Tirado- Founder, how has your background shaped the person you are today?
My name is Veronica Tirado and I was born in San Juan, Puerto Rico. I started practicing gymnastics at age 5 and then added years of dancing, acrobatic gymnastics and aerial silks. This combined with the fierce determination has prepared me to reach new heights, personally and professionally, and apply what I have learned after earning a B.A. in business administration, and becoming a USA Gymnastics certified coach and director. I also possess multiple certifications such as, health and safety (CPR, AED, FIRST AID), instructor in Aerial Silks and Hammock through the Circus Arts Institute, Teacher Certification with Acrobatic Arts, and 40 hours of DCF child care training. All of this experience impacted who I am today by now being ready to put all that knowledge into practice, and share my passions and abilities with my students and team through my own professional dream: Acro Gravity Academy!

My business partner Youri Klepatsky was an Artistic Director, Rigger and Cirque Dreams Act Coach for over 20 years. Youri moved to San Francisco with his family from Moscow. Born in Belorussia, Russia, he grew up as a circus performer, attended the Moscow Circus College and performed with the famed Moscow Circus. In 1992, Youri began working with the San Francisco Circus School and was the founder of Acro-Sports School when he first arrived in America. Within a year Youri was freelancing and assisting Cirque Dreams shows and toured as Act Trainer & Coach with the company’s original production of Cirque Ingenieux. Eventually he relocated to Florida to collaborate as Aerial Rigger, Aerial Act Coach and Show Development Assistant with Cirque Dreams. Meanwhile Youri was responsible for designing, overseeing and implementing the many techniques, automation, apparatus and aerial artistry performed in Cirque Dreams shows. With modern technology, flying through the air with the greatest of ease has become an artform that thrills audiences world-wide and is a signature spectacle of Cirque Dreams shows. He is also founder of Yuri’s Got Talent, a multi-faceted, full-service entertainment and theatrical production company that provides customized, world class shows to hotels, theaters and corporate events. Youri loves implementing all of his knowledge and experience into Acro Gravity Academy and transmitting all of his energy and positive vibes to each family and the team.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Acro Gravity Academy is the largest circus school, located in a modern, air-conditioned, 35 feet high ceiling, 7000+ square foot facility in Miami!. We have classes for kids and adults. It has the mission to be the go-to facility in the Miami area for aerial arts and cirque with experienced and motivating coaches. Our goal is to instill healthy lifestyle habits and socialization skills in a positive and supportive atmosphere that will lead to elevated self-esteem, strength, flexibility, and the confidence to do things you never thought possible! 
The concept of Acro Gravity first started in Puerto Rico with Veronica Tirado, where Acro Gravity’s base was an Acrobatic Gymnastics training center. Acro Gravity Academy was founded by Veronica Tirado and Youri Klepatsky. Having both national and international experience, Founder Veronica and Co-Founder Youri joined forces in 2020 to share their combined professional knowledge, expertise and passion with local, aspiring acrobats. The goal is to look forward in continuing her vision of having a studio that will fill the gaps left behind by others in the area.

Youri and Veronica have found that there are some missing pieces in what customers/acrobats desire, and they wish to implement them under Acro Gravity Academy. Both Youri and Veronica have always been determined in working for what they want, and their entire journey has been focused on one destination. Now they are sharing their knowledge and passion to all of their students and they are ready to finally live their DREAM through Acro Gravity Academy!

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If you would stay near Acro Gravity Academy, there is many places to go and eat healthy! We have Miami Squeeze, Neverland Coffee Bar, La Social, Treesome, and Java Juice.
