We had the good fortune of connecting with Victoria Tinker and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Victoria, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
I’m quite a creative person and I love everything beautiful. I have always dreamed of working independently from anyone, with my own schedule, which would bring me pleasure and income. And before moving to America, I thought for a long time about what direction of employment I could choose for myself, so that I could combine it with my family and kids. And I chose the photography because it meets all my needs and it’s something that I really like to do. Therefore, before moving, I graduated from photography school and after the birth of my second child, I realized that most I like to photograph children for their cuteness and sincere emotions!
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
At the moment I am a novice photographer with big plans and hopes for the successful development of my business. I continue to improve my qualifications, take courses, study and practice to become a successful photographer. Now I have a little baby, so it’s not easy to develop my career at full strength. But I use all the opportunities and free time to develop my brand of a children’s photographer. And to some extent, my daughter helps me with this, acting as my main model. So far my works have been selected in contests for children’s magazines. And it gives me faith in myself that I will succeed.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If we take into account the fact that I also live in Florida quite recently and have not visited too many places, then from what I know, I would take them to a short trip to Key West, Miami, some beautiful beaches, West Palm Beach islands, Peanut Island Park.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I am very grateful to the Kiev school of photography that I graduated from. The teachers there are really professional people in their field! They are very inspiring and give a real basis for starting a successful career as a photographer. I am also grateful to my husband for his support in my ideas and endeavors. And most importantly, I am grateful to my little baby daughter for giving me inspiration for creativity.
