Meet Victoria Trent | Designer

We had the good fortune of connecting with Victoria Trent and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Victoria, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
Starting my business wasn’t just a decision — it was a calling. As a designer, I realized that what I was creating couldn’t be confined to someone else’s brand or vision. I wanted full creative freedom to explore ideas that felt magical, powerful, and personal — blending couture, crochet, and ritual into wearable storytelling. My thought process was deeply intuitive but also strategic: I knew I needed to build something that allowed me to be fully myself while creating space for others to feel seen, inspired, and transformed. I didn’t wait until everything was “perfect.” I started with what I had — my hands, my vision, and my belief that fashion could be both sacred and bold.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
As a Visual Manager, I’ve spent years shaping in-store experiences that tell a story the moment you walk in — from window displays to floor sets. It taught me how much emotion lives in presentation. Every fixture, every color choice, every outfit on a mannequin can impact how someone feels about themselves. That understanding of visual storytelling eventually became the foundation of my own brand, Torias Closet.
In both roles — corporate visual merchandising and independent design — I’ve leaned into my intuition and my ability to create spaces and garments that speak. Whether I’m building a floor plan for a retail store or styling a witchy couture shoot, it’s always about the same thing: making people feel something. I carry those skills with me daily — leadership, styling, creative problem solving — and continue to evolve as both a professional and an artist.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I want to dedicate this shoutout to the women in my family — the quiet strength of my mother and the resilience of my grandmother, whose energy continues to guide me. I also want to acknowledge the lineage of creative, spiritual women who came before me — those who made beauty from nothing and turned survival into art. And to the souls in my circle who have reminded me of my power in the moments I needed it most — thank you for seeing me even when I was still becoming.
