We had the good fortune of connecting with Vivian Nguyen and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Vivian, how has your work-life balance changed over time?
Work-life balance is still something I’m constantly figuring out. I would say that something I consistently prioritize is my overall health, more now than ever. To provide the best services to my clients, it starts with the service provider themselves because if you’re not taking care of yourself it will show within your work. I’m always having to reprioritize my tasks to find balance within certain times in life which allows me to find balance in different phases I’m in.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I’ve been doing nails for 6 years now & I didn’t love it for the first 3/4 years but as I dived into more nail art, my joy for my career grew. I grew resilience & formed my personality more as I connected with more & more people, it has allowed me to become more social as each year passes.

I would say that the biggest lessons I’ve learned would be patience goes a long way, being able to make mistakes but learn from them, and being open to criticisms that will help you perfect your art.

I want people to learn to take the time & get to know their service providers, they are people at the end of the day & being able to connect with individuals can lead to beautiful things!

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I would take her to Fort Lauderdale beach first, it’s my favorite spot! I love Wynwood so we would hang out there at night or Las Olas!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I want to share my appreciation to my friends & family for being so supportive in my career and myself as an individual. I wouldn’t be here without their love & support in whatever I do in life.
