We had the good fortune of connecting with Viviana Meneses and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Viviana, what’s the most important lesson your business/career has taught you?
That you gotta be persistent and resilient. If you really want it, you gotta go for it cuz “luck” doesn’t really “work” if you don’t push it a little

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I started my Career at the age of 18 back in motherland (Colombia) I studied to become a journalist and for the past 17 years that’s being my passion. I can say I was kinda “lucky” at first because I won a contest they did on a local radio station in my country and then after that of course I had to prove that I got what it takes to be there. I worked for the 2 biggest broadcasting company’s in Colombia (RCN and Caracol radio) and when I moved to New York had to find my way to the point I am right now (I’m the female co-host in the morning show “La gozadera” on La ❌ 96.3 FM Univision.). I think it helped a lot the fact that I’m a very resilient person, if I want something I’m not happy till I get it and that played a very good part in where I am professionally right now and I apply that to every aspect in my life. My brand is like “my baby” and seeing it grow since I started it till now just makes me feel fulfilled, like anything I want I can do it.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Well I live in New York City called the “ capital of the world” and the city that never sleeps so technically anywhere is a good place to eat, drink and hangout. I love to eat so I’ll definitely take my friend to Soho or meatpacking district, a place a little more “touristy” could be Times Square to see the lights and for a great walk definitely Central Park on a fall day with a cup of tea and my dog.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Honestly is being me, myself and my hard work and dedication. Since I started with this journey of having my own brand, putting all the ideas together, finding a manufacturer, social media team etc etc, it’s being me in my apartment long days at nights trying to make it happen and come to life the same way I have it in my mind.
