Meet Wendy Regalado | Actress

We had the good fortune of connecting with Wendy Regalado and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Wendy, what do you attribute your success to?
For me, there would be several factors: discipline, dedication, focus, and love for my career.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
From an early age, I always knew that I wanted to work in the arts, specifically as an actress. This has been my focus for as long as I can remember. I think this focus has been a big part of any success I’ve had in my career. Valuing and recognizing art in all its forms, dedicating time to train, and living that passion for the arts sustains me. I also studied social communication and broadcasting in college which has served me well in my growth as an actress. Although I have been blessed with wonderful opportunities, none of this has come easy. There are always challenges but each step I have taken in my career, even the steps back, have served to help me grow. From working in theatre to being a regular on a very successful show on Nickelodeon to commercials and telenovelas on Telemundo and Univision, I am living the dream I had as a little girl.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Miami has so much to offer with its great diversity and blend of cultures. I’d probably want to start out the day with a trip to the beach. A little sand and sun before sitting down for some lunch at one of those cute Ocean Drive or Lincoln Road restaurants. In the evening I’d want to head over to the Art District to walk through the galleries and soak in the scene.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I dedicate this shoutout to God for all the blessings and all the people who have believed in me and have always given me the opportunity and have given me their support and love throughout my career.
