Meet Will Worthington | Influencer/fisherman

We had the good fortune of connecting with Will Worthington and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Will, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
Well, I always knew that I wanted have my own business from a very young age. then I joined the military in 2003 and from there my urge to wanting to have my own business increased because I was so controlled in the military, and one of the biggest things in the military taught me was I never wanted to be controlled by anyone again. I wanted to have the freedom of writing my own paychecks and writing my own work schedule.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I’m in the Fishing/influencer industry so my business is selling fishing products. I started off in 2021 on TikTok. After my TikTok took off I decided to start other social media’s on Instagram, YouTube and Facebook. Like everyone else to start Social media in the beginning I was not getting any views or likes, but through persistence I was finally able to make a breakthrough and started getting some views and likes and that motivated me to keep going, but it hasn’t been easy to get to where I’m at. Im currently at over 1.3 million followers Between all my Social media’s combine. One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned is that just because you have a lot of followers doesn’t mean that you’re gonna make a lot of sales. I want the world to know that I came from absolutely nothing. I was born in a Third World country and I’m extremely lucky to have this opportunity of living in the United States and having a business. Ultimately my family is my drive not only my immediate family, but also my family who lives back in the country where I was born Panama.. My goal is to help them as much as I can once I reached the top.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If I had a week to take my best friend around, I will start right here in my hometown to Boca Raton Florida and take them all around to fish all the Urban ponds and catch some of the most exotic fish species soft Florida has to offer. Then we’ll make a trip down to the Florida Keys and fish all along the bridges for big Tarpon and snook and we would end up in Key West where I graduated from the community college. I absolutely love Key West and is one of the best fishing destinations you can possibly Fishing and it’s absolutely beautiful down there then we would come back up from the keys and head West Everglades city which is an absolutely beautiful area and one of the best fisheries the West Coast of Florida has to offer. Along the way, we would stop by some the local spots that have the best food the Cuban places. The Caribbean restaurants South Florida is so multicultural diverse that there is amazing foods from all over the world here
