We had the good fortune of connecting with Wilnesha Wintons a.k.a Winn and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Wilnesha, we’d love for you to start things off by telling us something about your industry that we and others not in the industry might be unaware of?
The process that goes behind what I do. As a fashion stylist. It’s not just about picking out outfits that look good on a person. You have to first know your client. Identifying their unique style and aesthetic. Knowing what colors, patterns, fabrics, prints, best compliment the individual. Also understanding the environment and occasion the client will wear the garments. Choosing the appropriate hairstyle that will coincide with the look. Everything has to come together. The entire look has to tell a beautiful story.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I began my fashion business in February of 2018. As a young woman growing up I always had a great passion for fashion and art. My brand is not only about styling clients for a single event or day to day activities. I also creatively direct while on set with models, music artists, designers l, and or photographers. I have the ability to visualize and see what others can’t and make that a reality. My photoshoots and creative style is unmatched, and I am self taught. I literally see something in my mind, plan on how to produce it into reality and execute it.

This journey hasn’t been easy for me. A girl from the south with big dreams. Starting out with no mentor, no experience, just knowing what I want to do, what styles I want to display, and literally doing it. It has been stressful and very hard. However it is my passion, which keeps me going. You have to work hard for whatever you want. Sometimes you may not see the progress. Your faith and your work ethic has to match. Without it, you have nothing. Whatever happens, you have to get up and keep pushing.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I’m not too familiar with “the spots” in South Florida. I’m the person who googles and research everything before making decisions.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
First and foremost my mother Tracey Young. It is who birthed my love for fashion and styling others. Also a dear friend & client Shajamia Axson. A person who has really been a great asset to my brand and who has pushed me to be better. Shajamia is the first person who really believed in me, gave me a chance and was the first model and client for my very first fashion project. These two individuals played a very important part in the beginning of my journey as a Fashion Stylist.
