We had the good fortune of connecting with Wrendly Mesidor and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Wrendly, how has your work-life balance changed over time?
Well, My work-life balance has changed significantly over the past few weeks. As a student, it was difficult to maintain a full-time work and school balance.
So I was going to school during the daytime, and I was working multiple long hours on weekends.

It was hard on my body and it took my fitness motivation away from me, but I find a job as a brand representative in my career, and I’m working 30 hours on top of making more money than before.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I am a Brand Representative for Media Star Promotion.

Before becoming a brand ambassador, I was just hopping from job to job to make ends meet.I was specialized as a certified business specialist, but I had no real direction.

Until I decided to take over leadership roles at Florida International University.

I became the 1st Lieutenant Governor for Student Government Association, and I became Marketing Director for The Student Programming Council.
From there that’s where I was able to find my direction.

On top of that, I am also a certified fitness trainer, and I had my fitness brand named “Renation Fitness” until I had to take a hiatus.

What makes me different from a lot of people is, my willingness to succeed in all aspects.

I don’t plan on giving up until I reach my goals.

I have learned in life that you never know what you could accomplish unless you try. It is better to try and fail instead of not trying at all.

I would love to take the hardest challenge out there and conquer it.

That’s what life is all about. You will not get anywhere by taking the easiest way out.

I also learned a lesson that you should never trust people 100% because I have put a lot of effort into many of my friends but when they start having, they forget about humble beginnings.

I came from a shy young kid who wanted to fit in and now I have an outgoing personality.

The best advice I could give to anyone shy.
“Be yourself and don’t miss opportunities”
“No matter how good you are people will always judge you.”

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Since I am from Miami and I’m pretty much used to city life. If I had a week with my friend I would make sure to show them all around downtown Miami and South Beach.

I want to start day one with a walk around downtown Miami and check out all the special museums and nightlife Miami has to offer.

You could never go wrong with a night at the club in Miami.

I know this might be a little biased but Miami also has the best Museum and best restaurants.

Special places to check out in Miami are Bayside marketplace, Brickell which is home to Capital Grille, and Truluck’s.

Those are some fun dining experience restaurants.

Tap 42 has amazing drinks which you can find in Wynwood and Aventura.

If you love the strip club then I would recommend The Office or Tootsie in Miami Gardens.

If you love arts and crafts then you can’t go wrong with Wynwood Miami.
And Miami is also home to the largest Haitian Community.

I would make sure my friend visits all these wonderful places and then goes back home wanting to come back to Miami for more.

That’s why we are the most lively city.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
First of all, I would love to thank the leadership of my father, because without his knowledge, and teaching than I wouldn’t be the man that I am today.

Thank you to Broward College, and Florida International University for helping in the development of my leadership.

Thank you to The Student Government Association at Florida International University for making me The first Student Government Lieutenant Governor in the history of the school.

Thank you to my family members for always supporting me through tough times.
