We had the good fortune of connecting with Ximena Morales and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Ximena, why did you pursue a creative career?
Ever since I was a little girl I’ve always been into arts and crafts. When my mom would take me shopping with her I would always run to the store and look for anything crafty to take home with me. whether it was bracelet-making kits, earrings kits, or anything I could use to create. I was there! Using my imagination to create something has always been therapeutic. When people want to purchase your creation, it’s when you realize you can make your hobby into a business.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?

MX Design Boutique is an online shop that offers unique apparel, mugs, tote bags, and many other cute items. We stay relevant by adding new items to our shop depending on what’s trending or happening in the world. If Bad Bunny or Karol G release a new song, believe it, we have a shirt for it. Being a Latina we also offer shirts with Spanish quotes that you might not find elsewhere. Like any business, there are ups and downs but from every stage, there is always something to learn. I pride myself on providing my clients with a unique experience with quality items.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?

Well, I’ve recently moved from Broward County to West Palm Beach so I would take them to get tacos and drinks at Papi Chulo. We would have to visit the Palm Beach Zoo and of course a day at the beach. Downtown West Palm Beach is also a very nice place to walk around and do some shopping.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?

I have a few friends who have amazing businesses.
