Meet Yanitza Guevara | CEO of Yani G Photography Studio

We had the good fortune of connecting with Yanitza Guevara and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Yanitza, every day, we about how much execution matters, but we think ideas matter as well. How did you come up with the idea for your business?
It all started because I always liked to take photos, pose and take photos of other people. Over time I had several jobs, I tried to do several DIY businesses, but none of them appealed to me and with time, I got tired of doing it. Since I knew I was going to be a mom for the first time, I started taking studio photos with professional photographers on each special date. On April 2020, my husband bought me my first DSLR camera so we could take family photos and see how I do with the camera. Then , in November 2020, I started buying lighting sets and equipments and I began to photograph family members and friends for free to practice. Also, I began to watch photography and editing classes on YouTube. With time, more and more clients start reaching to me for photo sessions and today, Thanks God, I have my own photography studio.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I’m a professional photographer and CEO of Yani G Photography Studio located in Miami,FL. I specialized in Maternity Sessions, Cake Smash photography, Kids Photography, Family Sessions, Engagement Sessions, Boudoir and Birthdays Photoshoots.

My Niche is Maternity and Cake Smash Photography.

Our studio is also available for rent to Videographers and Photographers who dont have a studio yet.
We also have Maternity gowns for rent so clients can easily find everything in one place.

Can you share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?

I think what sets me apart from everybody else would be, that I really love what I do. I love to grow and I really love building a connection with my clients. I’m proud of the business women I’ve become, for all the knowledge I have gain along this journey. For all the dreams that came true. And this is the begining because I’m just getting started.

Everything in life has ups and downs. Starting a business is not a smooth road. It’s not easy! You just need to be be committed, because through commitment, you can gain motivation to pursue success. Need to be consistent, be creative, stay focus and always work hard in order to deliver a good service… But mostly, do all the things with love!

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Hahaha well, Miami is an interesting city. You can find all the fun and cute places here. I would take them in a boat ride to see Miami skylines in Brickell bay. Its a beautiful view, especially at night! I would stop to eat at Kiki on the River. They have amazing and delicious plates and you can also have fun there because on weekend nights the have a dj, sometimes the have bellydancer show , etc and its like a Club. I would also take them to visit the Viscaya Museum and The Floral Escape if they want to take some amazing photos there. Like I Said, Miami is an interesting city, you cand find a million of things to do and where to eat! You will never get bored here! Trust Me!

Yes, of course there is, I want to thanks to all my family and friends for always supporting me since day one. Especially my husband, because since I came up with the idea of the business, he was always supporting me and encouraging me to do better and going forward with every idea I had in mind!
