We had the good fortune of connecting with Yezmin Soliz and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Yezmin, any advice for those thinking about whether to keep going or to give up?
Never give up! There will be high highs and low lows in every profession and all aspects of life, the most important is to enjoy the highs and LEARN from the lows but NEVER EVER give up!
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I’m an open format/ international/ latin dj, I’m an entertainer and will always do my best to please my crowd, I started 10 years ago as a house music dj until I had the opportunity to play in one of the best open format clubs in Washington DC, reason why I had to diversify the music genre of my set, I instantly fell inlove of the energy of the style which open many doors for me and gave me the opportunity to build a successful career.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Stay at Loews Hotel, have some drinks at Bar Collins and enjoy the beautiful pool, go for a jetset style diner party at Villa Azur, hung out with the locals at CHI in Brickell City Center and nothing like finishing up the weekend by the water at the best Sundays daytime party at the Wharf Miami
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Family, husband, friends, fellow djs, I’m lucky to have the support of all the important people in my life
