We had the good fortune of connecting with Yohana Del Rosario and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Yohana, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
Combining the essence of my heartfelt journey and my profound dedication to empowering women, the decision to start my own business was deeply rooted in a passionate commitment to creating a sanctuary for women navigating life’s transitions. Drawing from my experiences working for corporate startups that championed diversity and inclusion, yet often fell short of those ideals, I felt compelled to carve out a space where authenticity and empathy reigned supreme.
After facing the disappointment of working in these spaces, I reached a pivotal moment of clarity—realizing that my heart-centered approach and unwavering commitment to authenticity were non-negotiable. The decision to leap into entrepreneurship was not merely about pursuing a career path; it was a soul-stirring endeavor to honor my truth and provide a haven where women could find solace and support.
Driven by an unshakeable belief in the power of empathy and a deep yearning to make a tangible difference, I embarked on this journey with a resolve to offer unwavering guidance and support to remarkable women. My healing journey has illuminated the transformative power of vulnerability and resilience, instilling in me a profound understanding of the healing journey and the importance of compassionate companionship.
Through my experiences, I have witnessed the extraordinary beauty that exists even in the darkest corners of life. Each step of introspection and growth has brought me closer to a place of integration and self-acceptance. Embracing my imperfections and honoring the intricacies of my being has become a source of strength and inspiration.
As I extend my hand to others, I am driven by the recognition that every woman deserves a compassionate presence to guide her through the in-between spaces of life. Embarking on a transformative voyage, I gently hold your hand, providing solace, empowerment, and unwavering encouragement through every step. We will honor each unique story, unveil inner strength, and illuminate the path toward profound healing, growth, and self-discovery.
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Sa Gitna (Tagalog to English translation: The in-between) is a heartfelt endeavor born from my journey of self-discovery and healing. What sets Sa Gitna apart is its deep-rooted commitment to providing a compassionate and empowering space for women navigating life’s transitions. My approach is unique in that I blend my wisdom with modern techniques, offering a holistic approach to healing and growth.
My journey to where Sa Gitna stands today has been a rollercoaster of triumphs and challenges. From the initial spark of inspiration to the tireless dedication poured into building the brand, each step has been fueled by a deep sense of purpose and passion. Yet, amidst the victories, there have been obstacles that tested my resolve and stretched me to my limits. Navigating through scarcity, losing a job that provided stability, and relocating to a new country where I’m still mastering the language—all of these experiences have forced me to confront my deepest fears and insecurities. But even in the darkest moments, I’ve held onto the unwavering belief that this path is where I’m meant to be. Though at times, that belief feels as fragile as a wisp of smoke, it is what propels me forward and keeps me grounded in my purpose.
One of the most valuable lessons I’ve learned on this journey is the power of vulnerability. By sharing my own story authentically and creating a space where others feel safe to do the same, I’ve cultivated a community built on trust and mutual support. As most of us have heard, I do believe that healing is a journey, not a destination, and I’m honored to walk alongside each woman who crosses my path.
What sets Sa Gitna apart is my unwavering commitment to authenticity, empathy, and inclusivity. This isn’t just about offering services; it’s about creating a movement—a movement toward self-discovery, healing, and empowerment. Through the workshops, retreats, and online resources, I strive to provide women with the tools they need to reclaim their power and embrace their true selves.
Sa Gitna embodies a haven where women can embrace their authentic selves and find refuge. I’ve walked the challenging path of navigating life’s in-between spaces, and I know firsthand how daunting it can feel. It’s a journey that can shake your confidence and leave you feeling utterly alone. But here’s the truth: you’re not alone. It’s okay to feel overwhelmed, to feel like you’re losing your way. I’m here to walk alongside you, to offer support and reassurance every step of the way. Because we’re in this together, lifting each other up. This is where my passion ignites—creating a space of empathy and understanding.
