We had the good fortune of connecting with Yuval Ofir and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Yuval, the decisions we make often shape our story in profound ways. What was one of the most difficult decisions you’ve had to make?
Leaving the financial security of running the family business to focus full time on my own start up company without a safety net.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
There was definitely a lot of trial and error when I first started out, both in terms of what kinds of things I wanted to do with my company and in the best ways to deal with the landscape as a company in Miami. Eventually we found our niche producing murals, offering creative design services, and producing events for various types of venues. One of the things we’ve become most known for aside from our mural projects are our unique live comedy events, like our upcoming Just the Tip Comedy Show at the Miami Improv November 18th. Thankfully we’ve been able to set ourselves apart by maintaining high quality standards for the work we deliver our clients, and making sure we manage expectations on all sides of a project. We’ve found that by keeping communication clear and consistent we’re able to make the sometimes chaotic experience of bringing a project to life more manageable for everyone involved.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
All bets are off now with the pandemic, but in general I’m a big supporter of the local craft beer scene so my list would definitely include (in no particular order): Boxelder Craft Beer Market, J Wakefield Brewing, and the forthcoming Dogfish Head Miami in Wynwood, Union Beer Store in Little Havana, and in various other areas there’s 3 Sons Brewing Co, Lincoln’s Beard Brewing Co., MIA Beer Co and Beat Culture Brewery. Other highlights include: Sweat Records, MUCE Campus, Little Haiti Cultural Center, the Drive-in at Swap Shop, kayaking (at Oleta or elsewhere), and the Improv at CityPlace Doral.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
James Echols from SoulOfMiami.org and Life is Art was one of the biggest influences and sources of support I had when I first started, and has continued to be an invaluable resource over the years to this day.
