We had the good fortune of connecting with Zahadonna Clark and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Zahadonna, is there something you can share with us that those outside of the industry might not be aware of?
A lot of people think that you need a significant amount of money to get started in the salon suite business! But you really don’t. You can start with no money and just an idea using opm (others people money)

What should our readers know about your business?
I have been in the beauty industry for 17 years, I attend Paul Mitch the school Dadeland where I graduated with my cosmetologist license! Hair was almost my passion especially avant garde hair. But I ended up getting trapped behind the chair chasing the money! It can come really fast but you have to know what to do with it! I did invest in A salon suite business, i was so consumed behind the chair that i had no time for the business until I found out i was pregnant. Knowing that i had to go on maternity leave I knew it was a requirement to have the salon fully rented! Being fully rented is what births my 2,3 & 4th location!

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If my best fiend was visiting the itinerary is as follow:

Monday: Candle making at candle land
Tuesday: Shopping at sawgrass mall
Wednesday : lunch at Dub n grub Miami Gardens
Thursday: R & B night at Studio 183
Friday: Movie at ipic north Miami Beach
Saturdays: Massages at my friends spa Aya Spa
Sunday: Rent a yacht and enjoy the sunset

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
So I have two people that I would love to give a shout out to! The both of them was by my side, and push me to limits that I thought I could not reach!

My grandma mother Betty Daniels! She raised me from 3 years old and made sure I finished school even though I ended up pregnant at 16. She taught me that life may not be a smooth path but never give up when you hit the bumpy roads! She was my biggest fan, always admired the way I did hair!

The second person is my husband! We have been together for half my life and he is the sugar to my tea! I never really realized how big of a role he has played in my success. If it wasn’t for his knowledge I don’t think I would be this far or even down this path as the Salon Suite Queen!
