Meet Zahra Elise: Entertainer & US NAVY Vet

We had the good fortune of connecting with Zahra Elise and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Zahra, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
Well, My family says I was born bossy. And I can remember at 12 years old being asked what I wanted to be when I grew up, and my reply was, “a boss, a CEO of something.” So it wasn’t even a thought. Zahra Elise became a brand, my business.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I look at myself as Art, and really the human body as art or a canvas. It can be painted or nude or accessorized, folded into different positions, different shapes, sizes and all with its own beauty. I also write music, DJ, play with production. If I inspire others to create, then I must be Art. Art is inspirational and purely subjective. And I think I can identify with being multiple entities as art is. I am a multifaceted woman. I love to create. I love the process. I have art on my website for sale, some is what others painted of myself from inspiration and some is glass acrylic of pictures (art) I created with a photographer. I just launched my first calendar which is super exciting. Order yours now at zahraelise.com I got to where I am today by not stopping. I am constantly investing in myself/brand. I don’t sleep much. I am always thinking of ways to improve and new projects and it probably drives my team crazy. A few lessons I’ve learned is, reputation means a lot in this business. I’ve learned not everyone is going to like you for whatever reason and it’s okay. People will say whatever they want about you and there’s only so much you can do about it. Stay true to YOU and whoever is supposed to be there will be.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I live in LA but split my time in Miami. Two very different cities with different energies but both are great. I personally love to travel and see new places, try new food, experience culture. I try to leave the states as much as possible. One of my favorite places to travel is Jamaica. The island, food, and music is to die for. When in LA or Cali in general- you must experience all the different foods, especially asian. The Korean bbq spots are an experience in itself. Make sure to check out a museum and go for a hike on a local trail. The views are beautiful. When in Miami, make sure you go to a beach or rent a boat, catch Kiki on the River on a Sunday and don’t forget to hit a strip club up as well. So many beautiful women in Miami.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
First, shout out to my Higher Power for blessing me with this journey. I started modeling in 2017 right before leaving the military. My modeling career started in Miami with a group that consisted of 7Talent, Prominant Status and a few local photographers, such as Christopher Hedlund and Richard LeCoin. I worked with them for the first year and as grateful as I was (and still am) for them, I outgrew the situation with 7Talent. I got out the military in 2017, and I feel that the military actually helped me in my success within the entertainment industry. As far as books, The Alchemist and The Secret really influenced my jump from the military into modeling. And In the last year my brand has grown into what Zahra Elise is today with the help of Anais Camacho of F.A.M.E. Worldwide, I have been able to expand my brand and focus on growth. I am super grateful for those mentioned and those in between that guided me.
