We had the good fortune of connecting with Zoe Chin Loy and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Zoe, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
I wanted to help women with their self esteem by microblading their brows. Eyebrows are single handedly the most important feature on your face and as we age they thin out so I wanted to help restore some of the confidence they might’ve lost.

What should our readers know about your business?
I started tweezing eyebrows at the age of 13. I first heard about microblading when I was 24 but did not have the money to take a training class. I waited for our tax return, immediately invested it into a training and opening my business. It was a hard decision to do that since we usually take our tax return and pay off all of our accumulated debt annually, so we literally had to choose between paying off our debt and investing into a business. And it was the best gamble we have ever made! Ive learned to reinvest in my business and it always pays off. I would love for people to know that we offer microblading training and we helped women in the same situation I was get out of it and make a better life for themselves. Our company is based on helping people whether its adjusting someones eyebrows or helping them find a new career.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I always have friends and family visiting ! Whenever they are in town I take them to Dukunoo Jamaican kitchen in wynwood, King Patty in wynwood, and for a great brunch party I take them to Rise and Toast also in wynwood. For a nice night out I take them to Red roosters in Overtown. If they want a nice day on the water I will take them to the beach in bay harbour.

I’d Love to shout out my Husband,  Adrian Lee for investing his energy into my business and for always being so supporting and uplifting, and also my children who keep me motivated and inspired.
