Never give up.  It’s advice that is thrown around daily – but is it always right?  We asked some folks we admire about their thoughts around how to know when to give up and when to keep trying

I think the key to figuring out whether you should keep pushing forward with a dream or give it up is based on your gut instinct. If something has your stomach in knots and it is holding fast to you and not letting you go….then you need to see it through. No matter how difficult the road ahead may be. I think sometimes people miss out on their dreams because they throw in the towel too soon. You shouldn’t give up until you accomplish what you are looking for. Giving up is one of the biggest reason we don’t success sometimes. We give up because we can’t handle doing it any longer. It’s easy to give up in anything that you do. If you’re trying to grow a business, lose weight, workout, make money, etc. If it’s hard there is going to come a point when you want to throw in the towel. But you gotta keep going! Being successful isn’t easy you have to work for it. There have been times in my career when I thought about doing something else. ESPECIALLY in the beginning when a client didn’t like their hair or I felt I wasn’t building a clientele in a certain amount of time. But that’s just it, things take time. If I felt like giving up because I felt like a failure I would just look back at photos of hair I’ve done and think I am really good at what I do. Or I will think about all the clients I do have that absolutely love their hair and me. This helps me keep going.
