We had the good fortune of connecting with Sean Anthony and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Sean, what’s something about your industry that outsiders are probably unaware of?
The amazing satisfaction and fulfillment that comes from knowing that we are able to help people change their lives in such simple, life altering and effective ways.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I’ve always been considered different by my family and friends. They have always said that I am innovative and unique in everything that I do. When I got into the Wellness and Fitness Industry, I never wanted to be compared to others. I wanted to create something totally seperate from my predecessors yet still be effective. I had always hoped to create something that would simultaneously benefit not only the mind, but obviously the body and also the soul. Uniqueness takes time to develop, it takes patience, and open mindedness! That’s what makes SWATT rare.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
We would definitely have to take them to meet the best Sushi Chef, that’s Chef Bee at his amazing location NaiYaRa, which is well known for a great ambiance. Andiamo! would be another stop for a cold one and the very best pizza in Miami, in my opinion. Then to several other hot spots like brunch at Bistro Cafe in Downtown and finally some delicious coffee at Suite Habana Cafe in Wynwood! The list goes on and on…but those are some of my faves!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Wow, that would be so many people that it would be hard to mention them all. However, I do have to give a lot of credit to my clients because without each and every one of them I would not have had the opportunity to learn hands-on through their individual struggles. My own personal struggles also play an essential role because I have used my own life story as a way of relating to my clients’ struggles because I’ve actually overcome my own. One very special person that I will mention is my heart and soul, my rock, my ear, my shoulder, my love, Damarys Crespo. They say that ever human has a person, well my person is Damarys. She is my brightness on a dark day, and she is my wind on my hot days. There is a famous scene in the movie Scarface, where Al Pacino says to Michelle Pfeiffer, “with the right woman there’s no stopping me, I can go all the way to the top.” Damarys is that woman for me. A famous proverb says, behind every great man is a great woman. Of course, that is indisputable.
