We had the good fortune of connecting with Sheddie Fleurenceau and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Sheddie, what’s the end goal, career-wise?
While people like myself, would probably find it easier to answer this question by saying being rich is our end goal in life, I believe serving a unique purpose would also be another. I envision on having values, practices and people put into place where they’re saying they want more of me in their life. My brand is a reflection of me and my dream customers and clients. The end goal may be to make an income, but it’s also to make an impact in doing what I dream of and is passionate about. Professionally, by the end of my career I want to be creating opportunities and not waiting for it, possibly penetrating the fashion industry with my creativity and just continue learning so I’m able to pass down knowledge to others.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I believe your hair is your best accessory, because as it’s been said, your personality is not the first thing people see. Creating colors and cutting is where I find most of my happiness. I don’t believe it’s just a style or color, but a state of mind that brings peace to me and all the women and men I have serviced so far. This has set me apart because I’ve had people tell me I speak so passionately about my business and my eyes shows how excited I get when giving knowledge they didn’t know. I find this to be the beginning for me as I believe there’s always room to educate yourself no matter how much you think you know so this road has not been easy, because I’m still learning and extending. Along the way have taught me consistency, taking risks and showing up for yourself and people even if there’s barriers and hindrance. I want people to know that there’s much more in store for sheflxartistry whether it’s 2, 5 or 10 years from now, It’s going to be an experience.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Miami is full of clubs, beaches and party places. Every where you turn is something to do fine dining restaurants, activities such as parasailing, kayaking and museums are all great things to do and places to go. Superblue, Puttshack, ATV riding are all places that would be worth checking out along with sand bars, Shucker’s waterfront and more!
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I thank God for granting me the ability to be here, even if it’s not where I want to be yet I am definitely not where I was last year. I have mastered being in uncomfortable positions which has and is still allowing for me to grow in my business, career and everything else around me. I’m certainly grateful for my client and customers who have supported me from the very beginning when I started almost two years ago and is still here believing in me and encouraging me in each way possible. Nothing goes unnoticed with me and that’s why I will continue to break my back, understand and provide them with the best customer service as they deserve.
