Carol Nuñez | Director & Filmmaker

As I’ve progressed through my art and worked with all kinds of people, I’ve realized that I thrive on telling stories about humanity. I aim to show that each of us has our own tale to tell, and that empathy can be found when we look beyond appearances. By the end of my career, I aspire to have grown in storytelling through film, directing, and making an impact on the people who have watched my films, prompting them to think or undergo a shift in perspective. Johnny Urra | Entrepreneur & Activist

“Hay mas tiempo que vida”, is a quote I heard in Costa Rica in 2017 while we sipped on local drip coffee and eating fresh fruits that our host treated us to. The meaning was understood, but I didn’t fully grasp what it meant until doctors told me in January of 2020 that the large lesion in my brain stem might cause my heart and lungs to fail. Six months after getting engaged to the love of my life at a healthy and active 28 years of age, I ended up in the hospital with 24/7 numbness and tingling running throughout my body. I couldn’t balance on my left leg, my left hand foot and random areas of my body going numb and tingling, my head was spinning, I couldn’t be in a warm shower for more than 2 minutes without feeling like fainting, electric shocks running down my spine when I’d look down, and so many other inexplicable sensations that came about over the course of first two quick weeks of 2020. It felt like my body’s nerves were disconnecting me from this reality and the doctors didn’t know what was causing more than 30+ lesions throughout my brain and spinal cord. Read more>>

Leslie Marenco | Estate Planning & Asset Protection Attorney

My favorite quote is from Steve Jobs who said: “Your time is limited, so don’t waste it living someone else’s life. Don’t be trapped by dogma – which is living with the results of other people’s thinking. Don’t let the noise of others’ opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition.” Read more>>

Esteban Ujueta | Recording Studio Owner/Music Producer

I used to have a traditional work schedule at a good job, but it wasn’t personally fulfilling. 10 years into that job I realized that I had to make a change and pursue my own dreams and goals. Music was always a part of my life. I had been producing and recording music since I was young, and it was always something that made me feel fulfilled. I decided to follow my intuition and went all in to building my own business around music. I opened up my recording studio, Good Tone Studios, and it’s been the best decision for my work life balance since I believe in doing what you love. Read more>>

Chrissy Groh ‘Miz Chaos | Artist”

I believe art should be for everyone. I believe in sharing vibrancy and joy through public and accessible art. I want to give people “permission to play” – to have child-like glee, exploration, and the sense of adventure. I started as a painter and for the last year have dove head first into the world of street art. I believe all people no matter what their social or economic status should have the ability to see and experience beautiful things. I send stickers and pole installations around the world and I love seeing peoples excitement in putting up art in the streets. If I can do one thing in the world – I want to make it a brighter place. I love putting my pole installations in off the beaten path places – as if they are an extra incentive or prize in making the trek to discover more in the world. Read more>>

Amy S. Broderick | Artist, Professor, and Arts Advocate

Building a life in the arts is about much more than inspiration. Success requires putting in the hours every single day and proceeding with determination and resilience. Big things occasionally arrive when that mythical lightning bolt stikes, but far more often, beauty and success are built incrementally day by day. Read more>>

Kylie Ota | Life Coach

Sometimes it’s hard being a life coach because everyone assumes your life is perfect. Totally not the case! In fact, it’s usually the opposite. A lot of people I’ve met in the industry started this journey similar to how I did – on a quest of personal development. We met a coach that changed our lives for the better, which inspired us to want to do it for others. Read more>>

Lama Aria Drolma | Buddhist Teacher

The most difficult decision I had to make was when I was faced with the decision to leave the comforts of living in Manhattan and the daunting choice of relinquishing the glamorous life of Manhattan’s fashion scene to embark on a profoundly introspective Spiritual Journey to enter a traditional cloistered Tibetan Buddhist Three-year retreat program for a deeper understanding of existence, a quest for spiritual understanding that transcended superficial worldly success, and to find purpose in life. A journey of introspection, meditation, and profound communion with the divine.” Read more>>
