The gamble paid off and made Vanderbilt one of the wealthiest entrepreneurs ever. But risks are inherently…risky. How do you think about risk and how has it affected your life and career? Lauryn: Risks have played a big part in my life and I believe risks are necessary in life and mandatory for entrepreneurs. Deciding to go full time on the business was a big leap but a leap that needed to happen because I don’t think you can build something great without putting 110% in all the time. I think taking risks are one of the best things we can do in life. Taking risks allow you to step out of your comfort zone, which at least for me has always opened up new opportunities, and given me great experiences I otherwise wouldn’t have had. Taking risks is one of the most important things I do daily, Each risk creates a benefit weather successful or not. I believe that every risk is an opportunity to THRIVE and LEARN. Every time I get on my bike I am taking a risk. The main risk of stunt riding also known as BIKELIFE is injury, with every new stunt or trick comes the risk of hurting yourself, which of course creates an adrenaline rush, risk plays a big role in why I ride bikes!
