Why did you pursue an artistic or creative career?

Artists and creatives face innumerable challenges given that their career path often doesn’t come with a playbook, a steady paycheck or any form of safety net. Acting is my lifeline, not just a profession but a necessity for survival. I tried to give it up multiple times in my life, I just couldn’t. it’s a vital part of my existence. As a pansexual Iranian woman, my journey from Tehran to Bologna, and eventually to Miami four years ago marked a new chapter in both my life and career. As an artist, activist, and young scholar, my art transcends acting; it’s an exploration of the human psyche, an endeavor to dismantle societal constructs like race and gender. As a little girl, I was a creative butterfly, fluttering between music, poetry, fashion, and glamour. In high school, I went for the full buffet, exploring every opportunity to unleash my talents. I modeled, danced, and even worked as a senior assistant teaching digital media at a magnet school! With all these gifts, I knew I was destined to be a shining star, but first, I had to find my niche. And that’s when the beauty world beckoned. I started off as an eager student, learning the tricks of the trade from my mother. It wasn’t long before I was honing my skills, getting better and better, and discovering the therapeutic benefits of this art form. With my MUA certification under my belt, I wanted to create a safe space for women to embrace their natural beauty, where the brush is just a tool to enhance what’s already there.
