Meet Jaida Deco | Entrepreneur & Nail Tech

We had the good fortune of connecting with Jaida Deco and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Jaida, can you share a quote or affirmation with us?
Yes, one of my favorite quotes are,” Re-examine all that you have been told dismiss what insults your soul.” – Walt Whitman. The quote is longer however, this portion of the quote I located on the end of my tea bag. At that moment in 2015 I was about embark on a journey of self-finding and this quote re-iterated what I was already feeling at the time. What this quote means to me is to take everything you have been taught this far in life and dismiss anything that doesn’t resonate with what your soul genuinely and authentically feels/wants. What I love about the quote is that it’s been my daily reminder that I deserve to walk unapologetically on my own path and that even though I was taught many things growing up it does not mean that those lessons will always fit with my life’s purpose.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
As an entrepreneur I wear many hats, I am in many fields but my main focuses for the next few years are my beauty, fitness and branding agency brands. Whether it be modeling, doing nails, providing twerk-fitness lessons or helping clients with their brand strategies; what sets me apart is my never-ending energy and my ability to be able to adapt to any situation. Not only that I get the job done. I am most proud of my network; my personality has connected me with so many valuable and intelligent people. I got here by studying the game and understanding I don’t have all the answers so learn when to be the teacher and learn when to be the student. When someone already has the blueprint, it is best not to reinvent the wheel EVERYTIME. I love to be unique and stand out but sometimes as artist we need to make logical choices versus creative ones and understand how to balance both. It wasn’t easy because as adaptable as I can be most times, I prefer to do things my way and figure it out myself. But being closed minded like that hurt my business and slowed me down in the long run. I overcame this thinking by keeping myself surrounded by others who thought differently. I set up boundaries for my mental space to thrive and flourish. Now, I love working with a driven team of likeminded or forward minded individuals.
The lessons I learned along the way was 1.) Your brand or life begins and ends with you. Every day we are given a choice and a time slot to get the things done we envision in our mind. Choose with intention and discernment. 2.) a dream is a wish your heart makes as long as you love what you’re doing it will never feel like hard work. 3.) CONFIDENCE is FAITH backed by BELIEVING in yourself. How is anyone going to believe in you if you don’t believe in yourself?
I want the world to know that they will be able to recognize my name in every household and I am coming in strong ready to shift, change and enhance what the creators before me did. My brands aren’t just about consumerism it’s about creating an experience that is tailored to each guest with intention and care. No matter which brands you decide to interact with of mine; you will always leave feeling like a better version of yourself. I remind you of what already exists within.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
