We had the good fortune of connecting with Brian Dennis and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Brian, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
Brims & Lows has been an idea of mine for the last decade. However, I never got around to making it a reality due to the everyday streasors in life. When the pandemic began in 2020, I was laid off from my job with the Boys & Girls Clubs after 10 years of serving the community. Needing the income at the time, my wife, Whitney, reminded me of all of my “genius ideas”. After buying our 1st heat press and designing the logo myself, Brims & Lows was born.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
What makes Brims & Lows different from other brands is our simple & relatable artwork. From our Tough Love collection to our Tough Wife Tough Life tees, our artwork will draw the eye of people walking by.

Getting to this point was not easy at all. Finding funding or saving my own money was not easy. Thinking of clever designs was not easy. Learning to use heat presses and screen printing equipment alone was not easy. However, when you have a team like Brims & Lows, there is no shortage of motivation & support. We overcame those (and current) obstacles by sticking together and learning together.

One lesson that I’ve learned along the way is: If they don’t see it, they can’t buy it! Don’t be afraid to advertise your product! Don’t feel like a stalker on social media because you tag 100 people. Someone will like your product/service!

I want the world to know that a new brand is on the horizon! We’re not looking for rivals, and hope that we can all learn to support one another. Especially with all the
brands we have locally in South Florida.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would love to acknowledge my entire village! My family & friends have been the absolute GREATEST! Everyone has been so supportive and willing to buy products, promote the brand, donate, deliver packages, etc. I wouldn’t be on this journey without you! Buckle up, because we’re taking off!
