Meet Nirvana Crystal | Artist

We had the good fortune of connecting with Nirvana Crystal and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Nirvana, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking
Risk taking is how I choose to live life! I have always been a risk taker, but recently, I have really started to flourish with more risk in all areas of my life. I have the utmost faith that everything is always working in my favor, so when a huge, beautiful idea pops in and it feels really good to me, I go in that direction. When the doubts pop up, I know that it is because risk taking can be scary, but pushing through those doubts always leads to a bigger reward than I had expected!

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
My art story has been a story working its’ way through my entire life. I would sit, draw and color for hours at a time when I was a child to escape the chaos in my home environment. It was my safe space. As I grew up, I was always pulled back to art. My heart would find a way to go back to my home, which is creation and art. Any job, career or anything I pursued never felt complete unless creation was a part of it. During the pandemic, I decided that it was my true soul purpose on this Earth to channel source energy through my being to others through my artistic expression, to inspire, to uplift and to raise love. So, I decided to go full force into it. There have been many challenges, but I know that it is who I am and what I was meant to do, so there is nothing that can stop it. I used to allow the outside world to influence me, which would re-direct my growth until I learned to embody who I truly am. Until we know, believe, feel it and re-affirm our worthiness every single day, we’ll continue to be distracted. I am always learning new things, staying open to the changes and pushing myself because every single day I want to be better than I was the day before.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I live in Pittsburgh, and have not been to Miami, but I will make it there soon! I had a trip booked there in 2020, but the pandemic canceled that trip! If anyone visits Pittsburgh, we’re going to Primanti Brothers for food and most likely a Steelers, Pens or Pirates game.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would love to send out the most love to my daughter. She is my number one fan, always cheering me on, pumping me up and inspires me in so many ways just by being her. She’s completely helped me grow in all areas of life just with her energy alone. She is a true beacon of light and unconditional love on this planet. I love you A!
