We had the good fortune of connecting with Daze Work and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Daze, why did you pursue a creative career?
It’s just who I have always been. As a kid, whether I was playing outside or inside I was always the person roleplaying and creating characters out of just pure thought. Art has always been the best way for me to express myself because I wasn’t a very social person growing up. It was always in me, I just needed to believe in myself.
Please tell us more about your work. We’d love to hear what sets you apart from others, what you are most proud of or excited about. How did you get to where you are today professionally. Was it easy? If not, how did you overcome the challenges? What are the lessons you’ve learned along the way. What do you want the world to know about you or your brand and story?
I would like anyone who looks at my work to feel like there looking at a story. That’s what really drives my work. When it comes to my work I like to approach every photo or video and give it that calm, smooth, cinema effect. I feel like that tells more of a story. And yes, the journey had its challenges, but that’s what makes us improve. The biggest lesson I’ve learned is that in order to get better, you have to be willing to take risks and ask for help. I had to learn to put myself out there in order to get better.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Any chance I get to be near a beach, I take it. Top food choices is definitely seafood and Italian. Besides that, I believe that I would try to go to a sporting event. As you can see I’m not exactly life of the party. I just go with the flow and my friends are the same so it works out.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
First and foremost I want to thank the Lord for blessing me with my loving support system. Every one from my family, friends, and other fellow photographers has helped to push me to become the man that I am today. They are the reason I go so hard.
