We had the good fortune of connecting with Mariana Godinez and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Mariana, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
I was a single mother of two in a new country. I had no help or support system and I realized that I wasn’t alone in this. I had a background in education and decided to open Tiniciti with the “new family” model in mind.

What should our readers know about your business?
Tiniciti has two aspects. We began as a preschool and have slowly evolved to offer on-site daycare services to big companies around the company.

Tiniciti’s modern-day educational program offers families a customized approach to early learning.
The foundation of our program was built on the core principles of various philosophies, with a primary focus on the multiple intelligences of Howard Gardner.
Our multidisciplinary approach to early childhood education has granted us the ability to strengthen students’ limitations through the implementation of a variety of learning processes.
Our results have been astounding! Tiniciti’s educational program unlocks the hidden potential in children, and fuels an insatiable desire to learn.

We are open 7 days a week to accommodate working parent with extended before and after care hours. Our on-site daycares offer around the clock care

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
My friends all have kids so I will state at the beginning of this that the first place I’d take them would be to my preschool where my staff will take care of them so that their parents can relax and enjoy their trip.

Monday: Breakfast miami style at caffee Versalle so cafe con leche, pan cubano and some pastries.
Lunch: Wynwood: walk around a pick a restaurant, there is so many to choose from
Dinner: A little rooftop sushi at Salvaje in Midtown followed by some amazing drinks
Sight Seeing: Historic Downtown Miami and the Perez Art Museum
Tuesday: Beach day… South point beach in Miami Beach, some pina coladas, a few appetizers…. enough said.
Wednesday: Poolside by the W Hotel on South Beach,
Thursday is all about Calle 8 (Miami’s Cuban district). Amazing “ropa vieja” for lunch, a stroll down the historic buildings, a few pictures with Celia Cruz memorabilia and learn about Miami’s beautiful heritage. There is this amazing restaurant called “El Rinconcito Mexicano”. It’s cozy and the food is as authentic as it gets as far Mexican cuisine.
Thursday: Some shopping at Ball Harbor in North Miami Beach, lunch at Carpaccio and a nice drive along the beach.
Friday: Brickell- Miami’s financial district and home to Tiniciti Preschool. The energy is young and vibrant and skyscrapers are breathtaking. There is a cute little coffee truck where they serve the best expressos so that’s a must. Italian food for lunch so North Italia Restaurant. I’ll them on the metro- mover that connects Brickell to downtown and has the most amazing views of the city and ride it to Brickell City Center. Dinner will at a bar/restaurant called “Sugar” which is a rooftop and looks like a beautiful garden in the middle of the urban jungle.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would love to dedicate my success and who I am to my amazing team and of course my two kids. They believed in me when I didn’t and encouraged me to keep taking risks. These amazing people have helped me create and maintain this business afloat by going outside the scope of their work and pitching. As per my two kids- I did this for them, to make sure I could give them everything they needed.
