We had the good fortune of connecting with Vivian Arthur and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Vivian, Let’s talk about principles and values – what matters to you most?
Kindness and modesty are very important to me. Out of all the experiences I’ve had throughout my career, I remember those in which the atmosphere was filled with good vibes and positive attitudes the most, without anyone behaving above or beneath anyone. I always say that even though my profession is mostly superficially based, beauty really is on the inside.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I’ve been a photographer since 5 years ago so I still have a lot to learn and many projects I would like to create. I think that what sets me apart (according to what people tell me) are my colors, and the way I always try to portray my subjects in the most beautiful and empowered way possible.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I love Miami Beach; there are a lot of hotels that you can get something to eat / drink at even if you are not a guest. The Faena, 1 Hotel and The Edition are a few of my favorites. A fun plan too is renting jet skis and driving them around Miami.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Manuel Hernandez, my mentor the first year of my career.
