I’d say a bad piece of business advice I’ve heard is to wait to launch your business until it’s perfect or until you’re ready. The truth is, it’ll never be perfect and you’ll never be fully prepared for what’s to come. For me, one of the hardest parts of starting a business was being okay with imperfections and powering through with launching it anyway. Proper nutrition equates to a dull, boring, and miserable life. I can’t tell you the times eyes have rolled when I talk about heathy, nutrition-packed dishes. There are numerous ways to vary your plate, cook your foods and spice them up to make your lips smile and your belly dance. Speaking of conventional advice, I also believe a healthy diet exists on what we have said throughout time, natural food in moderation with a bigger focus on vegetables and less emphasis on sugars. The one piece of conventional advice that I disagree with is, that there are self-made success stories, millionaires or business owners. My theory is, we all need someone to grant us the opportunity to prove ourselves. As long as we need consumers, end-users, fans, employees or buyers, then we are never self-made. In my opinion, it’s a selfish mindset to believe that you made it to your level of success without any assistance.
