Meet Navendra Navi” Boodhan | CEO Of WRORemix LLC. / Music Producer / Graphic Designer”

We had the good fortune of connecting with Navendra “Navi” Boodhan and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Navendra “Navi”, what are you inspired by?
I’m truly inspired by my heritage. I’m truly proud to be a West Indian & I’m proud to be Guyanese. Being a West Indian is by far one of the most amazing experiences in the world. It’s part of a culture that inherits traditions, cultures, & beliefs from many different cultures. That being said, the most amazing part about it is definitely the music. We’ve always taken influence from cultures around the world & embraced them. Genres such as Reggae, Dancehall, Soca, Chutney, Bollywood, Country, Latin, and many more genres were introduced to us from our friends & families for generations. From a young age I remember going to parties/events, being on road trips, having barbecues, even just cleaning on a Sunday morning, there wasn’t a time I couldn’t remember music being played. Whether it be some Michael Jackson, Machel Montano, Lata Mangeshkar, Terry Gajraj, or even Bob Marley, it felt like there was never a moment for silence. It’s inspiring just being part of a culture that really takes a heavy influence from music. I’m extremely blessed to be part of this culture to continue spreading the love of music that many generations of West Indians have had before me.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I’m extremely proud of all the work I do, whether it be in the form of music production or graphic design. I’ve always been a person who put’s 110% in almost everything I do & it could be something small, not even branded I have no problem spending time to make sure things are done to the high standards I’ve set for myself even if it takes one hundred tries. Where I think I shine is in my diversity of skills which I’ve taken years of learning to design, market, produce, remix, & dj.
I’ve always had the mindset that if you set your mind to it you can do it, whether it is realistic or not & I feel like that really helped me out professionally. It was a very rough road. Almost everyone at some point thought about quitting or giving up, but with my friends & family by my side, I think getting to where I am now was a rough journey but it was extremely motivating to have everyone on my side. I’ve learned many lessons some as small as keep a clean area to stay productive, or maintain a calendar. However some lessons seriously changed my life & my professional mindset. For example possibly the most important thing I’ve learned is no matter how much you work, you can never do it alone. Find a team of like minded individuals with similar goals and ambitions and go to the moon with them.
In the end, my story is a story that I believe anyone can follow & even surpass. WRORemix is far from just a music business. It’s a business that should inspire the future generations to break away from the mindset that your life has to be lived by set rules. Our mission can never be completed but our goal is to inspire others to continue our legacy & continue to inspire future generations & keep our culture relevant & continue to break the mold to living their lives to the fullest.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
As we say in the West indies, there’s literally nothing better than a classic “Backyard Lime”. Lime meaning to hang out. Whenever I have guests especially people in my close circle we love to just grab some drinks, and plenty of finger foods and relax in someones backyard, whether it be a friends, or a family’s, or even my own backyard. There’s nothing more peaceful than talking, playing dominoes, playing cards, lounging around the pool, playing music, eating & drinking, or even fishing with friends & family.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I’d love to shoutout first and foremost my family. My parents have always taken the effort to support what I do & push me to new heights. I’d also love to thank my amazing girlfriend for always being there and encouraging me to always be a better me. I’d like to thank my super talented circle of teams who inspire me every day & continue to grind and support the cause every day, Unique Soundz, Kings Of Diversity, & The Musical Madness & my Atlanta family. I’d like to thank my WRORemix team. Shawn Murgasen & Ashton Shakur were two people who stuck by my side and walked this tough road and put blood, sweat, and tears in to make sure all of our dreams can come true. Also I appreciate all my close supporters & friends throughout my 12+ years of working with music. Thank you everyone from the bottom of my heart, just being there through ups & downs I wouldn’t be where I am without you.
