Meet Carol Cassis | Executive Director of Luxury Sales and New Developments

We had the good fortune of connecting with Carol Cassis and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Carol, can you tell us more about your background and the role it’s played in shaping who you are today?
I was born in Los Angeles while my dad was getting his PhD at UCLA. I spent most of my childhood in Santiago de Chile.  I studied journalism and became a TV reporter in Chile before moving to New York.  After New York I moved to Miami where I was a producer at Univision at their top rated program. I interviewed VIP’s ranging from US Presidents to platinum recording artists. In 2006 I decided to leverage my connections in the arts and entertainment in Real Estate. My first Real Estate deal was the sale of a Miami Beach Hotel for $10 Million and I have not stopped since. I love meeting new people and helping them find their dream homes and grow their wealth.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
It’s been 16+ years of growth and excitement coinciding with Miami’s boom as a cultural, finance and technology hub.  From doing the first crypto real estate transaction in the US to selling record-setting ultra-luxury deals to representing world famous hospitality brands in new developments – it’s been fun and very profitable for my clients.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I would start with the area Timeout listed as “One of the Coolest Neighborhoods in the World” and “The Coolest Neighborhood in Miami” – Brickell. Brickell is like Manhattan – a finance and technology center – but with much better weather.  We have world class restaurants and retail along with stunning views of the city and the bay. It’s a mix of young professionals, tech and finance leaders, families and powerbrokers that enjoy the walkability and urban chic atmosphere. Brickell has some of the best rooftop bars and restaurants in the world.  There’s no better place to have a Bellini or Sangria and watch the sunset. Of course, any beach club in Miami Beach is always a great way to enjoy a day in the sand too.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My family has cheered me on the whole way.  My husband Michael McMillan is my biggest fan and my son Alex is my inspiration.  My business partner Stephan Burke brings creativity and 20+ years of luxury real estate experience to our team.  Stephan is the perfect complement for me in the CassisBurkeCollection.com.
