We had the good fortune of connecting with Lucie Zova and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Lucie, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
I have always been self employed. Being free lancer and creating my own schedule and bookings works best for me.
I like the independency what you get when you running your own business.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I have yacht charter brokarage company for short term rentals and couple days trips. I have worked since 2019 on yachts as stewardess and during that time I was able to make very good connections in industry and with yacht owners and was able to get for my yachts alwaysdirect contact from the owner which means best prices possible, that leaded to opening my own yacht charter company Zova Yachts which is able to provide clients with amazing yacht experience as one of the most desirable thing to do in Miami. My comapny can provide anything what clients could wish for to experience during their sail like catering, private chef, DJ, masseuse, photo/videographer, dron pilot, jetski or other water sports.
I can accomodate any request.
Recently I have acomplished my captains license and once I will receive my credentials from USCG I will be more then happy to drive yachts myself as I still love sea life and to be out there doing exterior work.
Having a borkerage company means mostly ofiice work.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I would definatelly take them for yacht trip so they could enjoy Miami view from water around Key Biscayne area, visit islands and watch sunset on the sea. I would check what kitchen to try is their preference, but if they would like sea food I would take them to some fresh catch sea food place or Japanese restaurant for sushi.
I would showed them South Pointe/South Beach, Wynwood for street art and Oleta state river park/Halouver sand bar if they would like to try paddle boarding or kayaking as most popular water sports for tourists.
I m not much of bar party person, but Wharf on Miami River, that would be good spot to hang out and have a few drinks and popular tacos.
Frost since museum and Bay Side are also worthy of visit.
I would keep their visit pretty much sea related. 😀

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would say my friend Phil who is great photographer aqua sports enthusiast and animals lover. his IG is @miami_aqua_life
